Alessandro Gattuso (Vico Equense, Napoli,1989).
He graduated in cinema at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, the city where he lives and works. He collaborates in various roles on short films and documentary feature films. In 2015 he directed his first short film Por Cuestion de corazón in Barcelona, presented in national and international festivals. In 2016 he joined FILMaP Atelier di Cinema del Reale in Naples at the end of which he made the documentary Antonio degli scogli selected at the Trieste Film Festival 2017, at the Italian film festival in Lisbon and received a special mention at the Naples film festival. He collaborates as a photographer with the Vice magazine with reportage related to the city of Naples. In 2020 he was selected for the Sounds and Visions residency of the Aamod film archive and directs the short Dal giorno finché sera selected in numerous festivals and special mention at the Loversfilmfestival. With the Cosmi photographic project, developed within the Irregular Laboratory 03 directed by Antonio Biasiucci, he won the second prize at Portfolio Italia 2022, and exhibited at the Centro di fotografia di Bibbiena, participated in the Castelnuovo fotografia festival 2022. His personal research focuses on issues relating to identity, memory and queer culture.
